“Fuck! I've allowed this sortie to drag on too long..” Jais Riversong scolded himself as he neutralised the last remnants of the drone swarm which was attacking his employer's European outpost, while his ships finished off the control unit.
“Winston, see to it that Mr. Patross is contacted and have him wire the credits. Mission accomplished.”
“No problem, Jais”, replied Winston Delacroix, Jais' first officer. “Now hurry back over here so we can get you to Paris before Ms. Roseaux skins your hide for being late yet again. DAMAGE REPORT!!!”.
Jais burrowed through a flock of geese as he raced Howling Fang back to the resource carrier's hangar bay, while his two dolls zipped over to the Kairama. Once docked, he stripped down completely as he made a bee-line for his quarters, drawing gasped sighs and flushed cheeks from the two young female interns who had not yet become accustomed to his lack of modesty. His silvery hair, a whispy blur as he clothes were scattered haphazardly enough that in another age, his own mother would have flooded the air with swear words but instead, the maintenance bots simply buzzed around to work overtime to collect each item of clothing he had let fall.
“How much time do we have, Winston?”, Jais asked from the comm link that he had installed in his shower.
“We're going to make it, Jais, just trust me and make haste while you get dressed. I don't your crew would enjoy life quite as much without their cash cow but your two little women should find enough of your entails left to divide evenly.”
“Ha ha. Very funny Winston. A regular comedian as always.”, Jais replied as he dried himself off and made his way towards the tuxedo, that was receiving final touches from a grooming bot. (a gift from Michelle Roseaux)
As they approached the area's hangar bay, Jais fought with the grooming bot which seemingly disagreed with his desire NOT to tie his long silvery hair. By the time Jais disembarked, his pristine appearance clearly betrayed the identity of the winner. All that remained was for him to join the numbers of the persons, taking the monorail to attend the recognition function for the medical fraternity ,
“Hey Michelle,”, he spoke into his personal communicator, “I'm on the monorail to you now. I told you that I would make it.”
“I never should have doubted you, mon cher. As soon as the awards are finished, I'll find you and as the fortunate loser of our wager, I’ll gladly pay my dues.” <click>
Jais grinned mischievously as not so innocent thoughts flooded his mind almost to the point of overshadowing the beautiful architecture displayed by the recently built, Roseaux Towers Complex.

New Era Crisis - Storylines (Jais Riversong)
Neglect of what is good in me; want of thoroughness in study; failure to do the right when told me; lack of strength to overcome faults, these are my sorrows.
