Posted: Fri May 11, 2012 3:06 pm
main course
x 4 - Linsay Buckler
x 4 - Slim Jackson
x 4 - Ursa Rumble
x 4 - Gaia Rumble
x 4 - Mammoth Trumpeter
x 2 - Steady roots
The finishers
x 4 - Balamar, Ruler of the Skies
x 4 - Cunning Wyvern
x 2 - Victoria Gale, the Gifted
The "anti rush"
x 2 - Antlion Trap
x 2 - Falcon Strike
The utility
x 2 - Energy Charge
x 2 - Air Cannon
A deck i came up with today, it's my first real deck for this game.
The main point
get some creatures (preferably 2) along with Cunning Wyvern out on the field, then Balamar FOR THE WIN.
because you need not place any cards into mana, I can cover up the existance of Balamar in the deck, making them miscalculate for the addition + 2 loss of grid points, hence the name crouching wyvern hidden cannon (because balamar resembles twin cannon). I generally feel that this combo is hard to stop because cunning wyvern is untargetable by spells and i could just attack with Balamar first to prevent opponent from responding air cannons my cunning wyvern.
Supporting the main point
i have 4 of each of Linsay and Jackson to accelerate fast enough for balamar.
Linsay also has special synergy with Mammoth Trumpeter Energy Charge and if you know what i mean.
Mammoth doubles up as a Rumbling terahorn to search for Cunning or even Balamar.
ursa rumble is there to fill the T3 slot along with jackson and provide some muscle for the team.
giga rumble is a filler and i honestly cant find anything better to put in, chose him because he gets double breaker when executing the cunning + balamar combo.
The counter attack
Victoria Gale, the Gifted along with Air cannons act as cool counter plays if someone tries to perform a faster rush than me.
falcon punch and antlion trap because I am always afraid of early game low power creatures that can create havoc (cocco lupia , time tripper)
lastly , energy charge because
