Task Progress Report - 09.05.12

It's been a few hectic days but we are somewhat back on track now, and that means it is time to request everyone to do their little parts once more. Some of us have exams or work to deal with, and so distribution of tasks is most necessary at this point in order to actually get anything done. Here's a basic list of things finished, things in progress, and things that still need someone to step up and take responsibility for them.

Finished Tasks:
DESIGN: The final number-crunching for the effects of cards that make your opponent consume tempo is done, and the result is that for most of those cards, charged tempo will be consumed, giving another defense against Responcers. (see Tasks in Progress for a related item)
COMMUNITY: Syrius has finished his Common Decks task and I'll be working on making those available soon. (anyone else who wishes to contribute to them, please do)
CODING: Automation of Black Carpet and bugfixes in some runes and Fleeting Force are all done, courtesy of Vinushka.


Tasks In Progress:
CODING: The code changes for the cards that make your opponent consume tempo are in the works, so let us know if any issues are encountered, including the situation where you think a card should consume charged tempo and it is not currently doing that.
DESIGN: I have a fairly clear idea now of what I want the final card art layout to look like, and hope to find time to discuss this with Micky or Rijato soon. (see Tasks to be Started for a related item)
ART: Django(capn) is working on the base art for Mammoth Trumpeter which I intend to use to 'test' the card layout.
DESIGN: Players who have specific requests for card effects should make the card they wish for in the Create-A-Card forum in Intermediate Duelist area for discussion.
COMMUNITY: The new concept for how one gains Mentor status or Advanced Duelist status is currently being worked out precisely, you can PM me about it but the short version is that Card Reviews and some Rulings posts will be involved (for Advanced and Mentor statuses respectively).


Tasks To Be Started:
CODING: The Deck Analyzer needs to be returned to KP soon, I suggest that Thenarius take this task on.
CODING: Release of cards from set 3 bit by bit since this is probably better for the community overall and player interest (see thread in the Development forum for more details on this)
COMMUNITY: Promotional copy content (text) is still to be generated, Mikara has volunteered to be head of this team, those who wish to help should contact her on Forums by PM.
COMMUNITY: The FaceBook page still needs some content as well, we currently have no one in particular working on it.
COMMUNITY: Term Glossary and more detailed rules need to be developed, first as a forum post, then transferred to the main site. I will oversee this as much as I can.
