2011 Clan Redux Information (Basic)

For 2011, Clans on KirriCorp will be receiving more attention and upgrades in structure.
Three systems of inter-clan competition will be introduced.
The first and simplest is "Compet", which is indeed just short for Competition. This is what players are used to, somewhat, and will involve drawn out Clan wars, usually of the Survival type. Players will be responsible for maintaining their Rosters and positions as well as keeping track of the results of this simplest system. There are no restrictions on Guest participation in Compet.
The second system is "Genkai", which refers to a "Limit" form of interclan competition, and may involve some intra-clan competition as well. For Genkai, the eight official members of a clan will decide their own rankings amongst themselves from 1 to 8, and each week, a tournament will be held between all of the members of the same rank, across all clans. This proves a clan's dominance in interesting ways, as you can use it to show that even your 'least skilled' member is still stronger than the equivalent member in all other clans. However, no replacements or guests are allowed at all for Genkai, which means that if your rank 6 duelist drops out or cannot participate in the Genkai 6 Tournament, your clan will lose the chance to take that Trophy for that cycle.
The third and most complex system is "Dominion", which will be played as a game of territorial domination superimposed over a map of Europe. The aim of this game is to defeat your opponents in 5 vs 5 (or 3 vs 3 if necessary) Crossfire type Clan wars. Territories will be won or lost in this way, with the loser giving up the territory that they initiated the attack from, to the winner (or the loser losing the territory that they failed to defend). Guest members are free to participate in Dominion battles and this is encouraged. This is a lot freer in terms of who participates in which war, in order to keep things flowing smoothly, but there may be some restriction on how many attacks a clan can make during a week (probably 2 or 3, but no limit on defense).
There are plans in place for a more complex "Dominion V2" played on a fantasy map where one will be required to use a certain decktype when defending a certain territory, but this will not be implemented or seriously developed until the general reaction to "Dominion" is assessed.
