Yah. that's the recipee for tournys these days. That's why going for less than 10 useful triggers in a deck is risky.

Yes i was surprised,but mostly because it worked.

It's a part of an evolving game, as capn mentioned in chats yesterday. control evolved to beat rush, mana burn evolved to beat control, and rush beats mana-burn. Real beautiful system.

Soon, it is merely a question of who plays what, not who plays how.
