Well, you know, I just tend to follow the letter of science on this one.

The chicken itself is just a species of birds, in other words a form of evolution. It changes through the generation, so at some point the chicken is just something that ended up being born out of a different bird species.

And the cycle keeps going like that, until you reach completley different species of birds, and then birds are the evolution class formed from the previous one: reptiles.

So the answer is quite simple.

Q: Which came first? The chicken or the egg?

A: THE DINOSAURS!!!

But what you could say is that before the Dinosaurs and the Chicken there were only single-cell organisms and so to say that the Egg created the 'Original Hen' (in this context) would be like be saying the Dinosaurs were the Chickens creaters but then the question would come to 'Who came first the Dinosaur or the Egg?' which comes back to the organisms that evolved into the Dinosaurs(or into what later evolved into Dinosaurs) but the true question to ask is; having a creator is an idea created by the ones who think they were created when they are simply creating the creator and so the question comes down to, I am the creator?

Egg came first

Dinosaurs had eggs which came before hens
:-D

And if u waNT a logical answer
"A circle has no beginning"

i dont know if anyone of u reads harry potter but
this was the answer given by Luna in the Deathly Hallows towards the end

When asked "what came first - the phoenix or the flame"

But Eggs hatched the Dinosaurs that came before the Hens.
Therefor, if the question was which came first the Dinosaur or the Hen then your answer would suffice but its not.
In terms of Dinosaurs the question is reworded to become,
Which came first the Egg or the Dinosaur?
which goes back to my post above yours if you read it.

Therefore the still only logical explaination is that

Having a creator is an idea created by the ones who think they were created, when they are simply creating the creator and so the question comes down to, I am the creator?

Egg. Its is a cell. maybe generated by some mutation or what ever. Egg maybe evolved from any other cell and hatched into a hen or cook. In the past there were a lot of radioactive things. So mutation is a possibility.

Oh come on... Everybody knows how this goes!
First, when planed earth's first living creatures were born, they lived in the ocean. First they were only living creatures which multiplied. So there were no eggs in the very beginning. Eggs were created as a defence mechanism for helpless baby creatures. The answer is chicken.

the rooster came first then the hen laid the egg... coz if the hen would just lay an unfertilized egg it wont become a chicken...
