The Herons of the Tower

Post by Mikara »

(So I had this dream last night and thought you all might enjoy it as well.)

So there were these poor beggars in India that didn't really have much spirituality in them nor much drive but they relied upon each other.

One day a goddess swooped down and commanded them to build a tall tower on top of a mountainand she would provide them with everything they needed and would make one of them king.

So, knowing this was there way out of poverty for good, and having nothing better to do, they built this magnificent shanty tower, and were even able to make it look like a nice pagoda on top.

As they finished the last touches on the top the goddess floodedtheir minds for a moment and showed them a beautiful multicolored heron. Whomever could befriend this heron would become the king amongst them.

So, the most adventurous and strongwilled of them swooped down the mountain sliding down the steep hilly cliff the moment they saw the rainbow gilded heron fly to the waterfall near by, (it was apparently not a very tall mountain,) and ran towards the heron, sitting next to the rock on which the heron stood on. The adventurous one shifted gears completely from his bold straightforwardness to acting gracefully, gently, and slowly.

A second of the group, while not daring to do such a dangerous feat, found the quickest path down the mountain as another heron appeared by the waterfall. Equally covered in a dark rainbow hue, this one played in the water and so the second of the group got into the water with it swimming along with and petting the heron.

The second heron was pleased, but so was the first heron with the other. So, the goddess descended upon the two men and revealed to them that the herons were in fact her beautiful daughters. So long as their friendships with each other lasted, they would forever both be king and they and their friends would never be hungry or wanting again.

Thee end ^_^
